Dana Gentile-Roberts is a farmer and artist.  Growing up in suburban Long Island, Dana dreamed of farm living since a very young age.  Her parents always kept a large vegetable garden in their backyard and from a young age she has always cared for animals.  While living in Brooklyn, Dana started a CSA in her neighborhood and met Hudson Valley farmers that inspired her move to the Hudson Valley and to live out her life long dream.  Dana has a strong connection to nature through farming and within her art practice.

Christopher Roberts is a life long resident of Columbia County.  He grew up in Taghkanic, NY,  where he learned his love for the outdoors and the rewards of working in nature. Christopher's parents raised him on home grown food and showed him the beginnings to a homesteader style life.   At a young age, Christopher managed his first flock of chickens, worked on his uncles vegetable farm, and learned beekeeping from his father.  Christopher now splits his time between managing the family auto repair business and farming.  Christopher has brought honey bees and laying hens to Darlin' Doe Farm.

Ruthie Mae Roberts, Farmer in training since 2018. Ruthie Mae loves working with animals, helps push hay bales around and holding chickens.

Farm Dogs:

Willie:  Our Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian Dog loves people and will eat any rabbit or bird that enters her fenced area.

Connie: Our rescue, she’s a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and Shepard, thinks she needs to bark at everyone.

Winter: Our newest rescue, a german shepherd and lab mix, a little skittish as she’s getting to know us and the farm and loves to sneak an egg to eat from time to time.

Our loving dog Angie passed away in June 2022. We miss her dearly.
